Chuchuhuasi is a small shrubby evergreen tree with leaves and berries that resemble holly native to South America and Southern Brazil, grown in city landscapes for its attractive appearance and decoration. Clinical studies shown its effectiveness in treating ulcers, and cancer with research back to as early as the mid 60s-containing antibiotic compounds that showed potent antitumor and Antileukemic activities in very low dosages.
