What Should Be the Dose/Administration of Chickweed?
People usually use chickweed in a daily dose of 1155-3450 mg divided in 2-3 equal doses. The exact daily dose of chickweed would depend on the body weight of the user. Detail of dosage in relation to the body weight of the user are as follows:
• For up to 100 pound weight => 385 mg per dose
• For 100 to 175 pound weight => 770 mg per dose
• And for over 175 pound weight => 1155 mg per dose
Chickweed is also used in the form of tea by steeping 1-2 teaspoons in six ounce boiling water.
This herb is also available in tincture of unidentified concentrations used in a typical dosage of 1-5 mL every day.
There is no topical dosage of chickweed.
