How Suma Works?

The most effective part of Pfaffia paniculata is the root. Its root consists of pfaffic acid saponins called pfaffosides A-F, ecdysteroid glycosides, nortriterpene pfaffic acid, sitosterol and its glycosides, stigmasterol and its glycosides, ecdysterone and pterosterone. Cell culture data recommends that pfaffic acid and its associated saponins may slow down the growth of melanoma. An extract of ethanolic of suma root has been shown to have nominal analgesic and anti-inflammatory effects, but doesn’t provide relief from non-inflammatory pain. Clinical experiments suggest that extract of suma root may improve the sexual performance, ejaculation and enhance libido in impotent rats.
